Why I Am Running for Trustee

EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP.
STRONG SCHOOLS.
A BRIGHT FUTURE.
Catholic education has played an important role in our family’s life. I am running because I want today’s students to have the same opportunity to learn, grow, belong and prepare for meaningful futures.
The WCDSB is a large and complex public organization serving rapidly growing communities. Trustees must establish priorities, oversee public resources, ask difficult questions and work constructively with others—all while keeping students at the centre of their decisions.
Throughout my career and community service, I have built a reputation for listening, bringing people together and turning ideas into action. I want to bring that practical, people-focused leadership to the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

What I Will Bring

  • I will bring a practical, people-focused approach: listening carefully, doing my homework, supporting our educators and staff, and making thoughtful, responsible decisions.
  • That means listening carefully to students, parents, staff, parishes, and the broader community.
  • It means asking thoughtful questions and doing the work required to understand complex issues before making decisions.
  • It means supporting our educators and staff while also expecting strong leadership, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public resources.
  • And it means remembering that behind every policy, budget decision, boundary review, and strategic plan are students and families whose lives are directly affected.

Waterloo Region is growing and changing quickly. Our Catholic school system needs leaders who can plan for that growth while protecting what makes Catholic education special.

I would be honoured to serve the families of Waterloo, Wellesley, and Woolwich and to help build strong Catholic schools for the next generation.
